Thematic Evaluation

Thematic evaluation is concerned with assessing specific aspects of third level teaching and learning which are of relevance to individual higher education institutions, but also to politics, science and general society. Typical subjects of thematic evaluation are, for example:

•    Grading practice
•    Course-related exams (examination practice)
•    Data management within central organizational units of higher education institutions
•    Tasks and task fulfillment of academic and managerial facilities at higher education institutions or universities of cooperative education

In contrast to institutional evaluation and subject evaluation, thematic evaluation is an ad-hoc procedure without predefined intervals between the first and follow-up evaluations.
